We had a 3-night stay and it was a delightful experience. Everything was well-organized, and our stay was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was convenient. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the hotel facilities met all our needs. Overall, it was a great stay, and we will definitely consider coming back. Highly recommended!
A nice spot just down the street from the 30th St Station and the SEPTA L train line. Inside what appears to be parts of Penn and Drexel campuses. Room and hotel was great. Only real complaint was maybe improving the shower water pressure a bit. Will definitely be at the top of my list of hotel stays when I go back to visit family in Philly.

Had an incredible stay at AKA University City. The views from the rooms and sky lounge are unreal—definitely one of the best in Philly. The suite felt super modern and comfortable, like having your own apartment in the sky. Loved the gym and pool, and the staff was friendly and helpful the whole time. Great spot for a longer stay or a treat-yourself weekend.
I can’t say enough good things about the team at AKA University Hotel. I had to make a last-minute cancellation due to an unexpected emergency, and Nekayah was absolutely lovely—so kind, understanding, and accommodating. Rick was equally gracious and made the entire process seamless during what was a stressful moment. I was truly looking forward to staying here, and the level of care and service I experienced—even without checking in—spoke volumes about this hotel. Exceptional customer service like this is rare, and I will absolutely be staying here in the future. Thank you again to Nekayah and Rick for going above and beyond!
This is a wonderful place to stay. I love the rooms, views, and amenities. We rented out the cinema and the pool was beautiful. The gym was lovely with lots of equipment.
From the time I arrived I was greeted with excellent customer service. I felt such warmth and that I was a valued customer. Every staff member I encountered knew how to make a customer feel special. I was impressed that I never had to adjust the temperature in my room it was so comfortable the entire stay. The bed slept great the bathroom was lovely. I believe this is a family owned company, I felt that family vibe throughout. Thanks AKA for a wonderful stay. I will be back!
My husband, 2.5 y/o daughter and I stayed for 3 nights due to a hospital visit at CHOP. We were very pleased with our stay. We splurged a bit to stay in a 1 bedroom suite with a den and it was so nice to be able to spread out. The unit was clean, had a wonderful view and was mostly quiet. We were able to dine at the walnut cafe, swim in the pool (water was a little chilly, but the air was warm). We felt very safe and well taken care of (pack n play quickly delivered to our room, requests taken care of and recommendations given). Overall we would absolutely return.
